Imaging
About X-Rays
X-rays are only obtained if medically necessary based on your history and examination findings.
Dr. Chitra does not perform x-rays in-house. If your examination findings indicate that imaging is needed to properly diagnose or treat your condition, Dr. Chitra will refer you to a local imaging facility. The cost of any referred x-rays is separate from the $65 new patient special and is handled directly between you and the imaging provider.

Dr. Chitra is trained in multiple chiropractic techniques — including the Activator Method, Torque Release Technique, Thompson Drop, and Diversified — and is Webster-certified for prenatal care. The right technique for you depends on what your exam reveals, not on a one-size-fits-all routine.
The exam also gives you the chance to evaluate the clinic. You'll meet Dr. Chitra, see the office, and have a real conversation about what your body needs. Who Qualifies for the $65 Special
The $65 New Patient Exam is a self-pay offer for patients without insurance coverage being applied to their visit. To qualify, you must be paying out-of-pocket for the exam. We accept cash, check, credit card, HSA, and FSA.
Already Have Insurance? You're Still Welcome.
Path to Wellness accepts Medicare, United Healthcare, VA coverage, and auto accident (PIP) claims. If you'd like to use your coverage instead of the $65 special, just let us know when you book and we'll bill your insurance directly per your plan's terms.
Why Can't Insurance Be Combined With the Special?
Federal regulations prohibit healthcare providers from offering discounted self-pay rates to patients whose care is covered by federal programs like Medicare or VA — these are called "beneficiary inducement" rules. Similar rules apply to most commercial insurance contracts. The $65 special is structured to comply with these requirements.
